Objectifs pédagogiques
To initiate to concepts and methods of modelling as an approach to knowledge building and knowledge application in forestry, with a particular emphasis on dynamic systems and their analysis, and on observation-based models and associated tools. To illustrate the diversity of modelling approaches in forestry, resulting from the issue of scale, or from process-based or observation-based models and their role with respect to experiment and theory.
