Descriptif

The course is dedicated to the process of social innovation and provides both theoretical and practical insights about the development of impact driven products, activities and organizations. The six sessions of the course will cover different steps of the social innovation process, focusing on the design of such innovations, on the assessment of social impacts and on the scaling of impact driven activities. Provided by three speakers having solid professional experience in both research and consulting for impact driven organizations, the course also aims at illustrating the value that can be added by consulting and research at the different stages of this process. It introduces students to the emerging consulting sector arising to support impact driven organizations and impact investors.

Vos modalités d'acquisition :

The course will be assessed on the basis of written group work aimed at preparing a social impact measurement system for a (real) impact driven project supported by the HEC Accelerator. Each group will thus be entrusted with:
- the conducting of a documentary review on the social need addressed
- the formalization of a theory of change
- the definition of impact monitoring indicators
This work will be graded on the basis of a written collective report submitted at the end of the course.
