Descriptif
This course applies concepts covered in managerial economics and strategy classes to a variety of competitive interactions faced by firms in innovative industries or those affected by technological changes. We begin by exploring when and which firms have incentives (and superior ability) to innovate, the growth of markets for technology and the importance of collaborative strategies. We then discuss strategic uses of intellectual property and two-sided (networked) markets.
